would this have asbestos in it?

Asbestos
I work for removing window caulk. the window looks like 30 to 50 years old and has 6 little rectangular glass plates and the frame is made of wood.
Caulks are surrounding each glass plates and the caulks are definetly not silicone or latex. it is hard like plaster but i don’t think it’s plaster. it’s more ridged than plaster and the color of the caulk is slightly yellowish cream color. the caulk contains tiny tiny sparkling particles all over in it if you look close. i wonder if the tiny sparkling particles are asbestos. because i know they use asbestos in caulking. i don’t know if they use it for window frames tough.
does anyone know what kind of caulking it could be?
it might be just regular caulking.
From looking at the windows,
the caulks are lilltle bit curled out at the ends of other cracks with cracks here and there from weather changes. i’m thinking it might be just old latex caulk hardened from sitting long time.
but i’m still not sure.

Anything made in the sixties or seventies probably has Asbestos in it. Its not that big of a deal if you handle it right. Put on some kind of mask such as a hepa filter mask or a generic hospital grade mask. Asbestos is only dangerous when it gets airborne.

That’s called window glazing, and yes, it COULD have asbestos in it. Wear a mask and gloves. it should scrape right out with a stiff scraper. You’ll need to re-glaze it, caulk won’t hold up very well.
