Is my health at risk,ASBESTOS-problem?

I live in tokyo and a 7-storey apartment-complex just across will be demolished from feb1 till Oct.,I just got some letter…ANYWAY reason is asbestos,level 2 and 3,they say its not airborne-asbestos?must be removed.As my family,I have kid of 9 and a dog ,wont know what to do and are so worried about our health-risks..does anybody have experienced same thing?WHAT kinda measures can we or should we take ourselves to prevent any risk and what are our rights and when do you know things have gone wrong in case of asbestos???Any good advice please

my uncle died from asbestos exposure. he was in construction so he was exposed to a good amount of it.
but i wouldn’t risk it… if you can find the means to move, do it!!

I worked with asbestos for 13 years, at times so thick you couldn’t see. We had no protection. Many men got Asbestosis. This does not kill you but, invades the linings or alveolar of the lungs, (the tiny air sacs) causing hard tumor like sacs. This in turn creates the monster that harms people.
I have emphysema and asthma I believe I got through the years from handling this.
Asbestos can be “airborne” especially if it’s being agitated, like a build being torn down. It is in the air. I would insist on water sprayers on the material as it was being removed, heavy dust control, rapid removal of the asbestos..
Better yet, move your family. You’d think they would provide you with some protection now days. Call your local health department, ask them to do something, go to the news papers, tell them the story.
