I want to remove the vinyl flooring I placed in our home 4 years ago. Reading on the internet on “how to remove vinly flooring,” I read to be aware of possible asbestos contamination. Should I worry about this? Please help

Ive been an electrician for 15 years now and have never seen asbestos being installed. And in the places I’ve worked where it was already there, it was never in flooring. Only insulation for the electrical wire, and attic. If your still worried wear a respirator when tearing up the old floor

they quit selling asbestos in 1971!!!
absolutely not. asbestos has not been used in almost 40 yrs. the only flooring thatmay contain asbestos that is still on floors now is really old tiles, usually 9×9

imagine is wrong, asbestos has not been used since the late 70s legally, (key word is legally) but it should be asbestos free if it is only 4 years old.
unless it was imported from china. then only God knows what it is made of.
