just clean the floor use crack filler on the holes make sure the floor stays warm get a heater of some kind if theres no heat in the basement its better to tear up the old tile but asbestos tile i wouldnt .the new vct will have no problem sticking to the old</description>

IF the wax is acrylic, I would test, test, test the glue being used..make sure it does NOT interact with the floor &quot;wax.&quot; If no interaction, I would must patch the holes and go for it...you do not want to distrub this floor in a way that could release asbestos to the air. IF there is a reaction, then strip the &quot;wax&quot; with wax remover or ammonia based cleansers until the was is gone, patch and spread glue, lay new floor. Good luck</description>
