Yes i asked a couple questions about asbestos already but im paranoid. ok i bought an old house with asbestos siding and years back they done an addition well i was clearing some brush and found that theres peices of broken asbestos all over the ground behind the house there are small dime size peices up to half full peices now i new the siding on the house was asbestos when i bought the house but i had no idea of the asbestos on the ground also had the intentions of clearing the brush from back of the house and building a club house and installing a pool for my kids that plan now scratched can i take legal action against the former owner none of this was disclosed prior to sale now im left with a safety hazzard and an obligation if i want to sell what should i do

I am a project administrator for a company. I just found out that the space we were working in has tested positive for Asbestos and Lead (came back 16 times the legal limit). I have the papers with the Asbestos test results that are positive. I am trying to figure out if I should contact a lawyer, do I have a case, what information should I gather for my case (if I have one). If you can shed some light on this situation I’d greatly appreciate it because the bottom line of my situation is YES I have been exposed to Asbestos (and I have the test results) and YES I have been exposed to Lead. They told me to move and look for new place to live if I’m not satisfied or maybe too expensive for me the rent. The house I’m renting has some windows. Has asbestos in the basement. Do I have to report them to Housing Authority.

i have had asbestos case with these ga. lawyers for 20yrs. on my husband (died asbestosis)and cancer everywhere. he was 35yrs.old then. they have given some money, and said the rest are in bankrupt. the checks i got did not have a company name except where the law.office had printed. i want to see the original checks they deducted my money from. his secretary told me i was getting $40 to $50 thousand march 1991, promised, i might have gotten 15 in all from different com.? through the yrs.i am in tenn.he is in ga. i just want to know if i have been taken advantage of or how can i find out.

This happened one year ago, since then he has been receiving workers compensation check. The lawyer he has says that he can only sue the Asbestos company but the owner of the building were he was working. He wants to sue the building’s owner too because when the fire started he was trying to find a way out but all the emergency doors were with a lock and the supervisor didn’t have the key. We have talked to other lawyers and they said the same thing, but do you have an idea want can we do or he can only sue the company as the lawyer said. Thank you.

My apartment complex removed asbestos from the hall outside of my apartment without even telling us that they were doing this.
The hall is very long and there’s about 20 doors in the hall leading into apartments.
When they were removing the asbestos everybody living here had to breath it and the dust from it also got into where we are living every time we opened our door.
Can I sue them for this?
They are saying that it wasn’t asbestos but when we first moved in they told us about the asbestos and said not to disturb it and to leave it alone and now they are saying it wasn’t asbestos but just regular paint.
Who can I notify about this and how can I prove it was asbestos they removed if they are saying it wasn’t?
People here have babies and small children all of whom had to breath this cancer causing chemical.
Any help concerning this matter will be greatly appreciated.
