I did it in my kitchen.  Well, not me personally.  Professional installers did it.  They just laid down a liner type thing and put the laminate right on top.  That was three years ago and I haven&#039;t had any trouble with it at all.</description>

take a var thane and coat the floor to seal it. Then I would put the foam and then the laminated floor.  More then likely the tile has asbestos in it, because back then they made tile that had asbestos.</description>

I think you can. We covered some 9&quot;tile with carpeting a while ago, and I help my son put a new floor over old tile... it was wood laminate (the new stuff)... 

The only thing I would worry about is water if your basement leaks. That&#039;s a whole different question tho.</description>

Assuming this is VCT or vinyl tile.You will be perfectly fine in doing so.
Laying this over ceramic tile would not be a good idea.</description>
