Can I install VCT over asbestos tile with wax build up?

Asbestos
I have to install VCT in a church basement over asbestos tile. The asbestos tile has been waxed for many years. The tiles are well adhered to the floor. Will I have to use a wax remover to cut the wax before I put down the adhesive? There are also several dimples in the floor that I was going to fill with Ardex. Is that a problem?

to be on the safe side,I would strip the wax or the glue might not bond. You might could take a floor sander and lightly sand over the old tile.Ardex will for fine over the old dimples.I use that stuff all the time.Great product.

Yes wax build up will have to be stripped down and tiles free of any dirt. Don t use a sander on asbestos tile, your disturbing the tile and creating dust. Especially in a public place Your right on the Ardex to fill dimples GL
