does it matter that all the dust is everywhere and I’m wiping it up!?? I am not familiar with this, but it doesn’t seem right that I’m working in a contruction area…

If this only happened once don’t worry. The people who have problems are subjected to on almost a daily basis for long periods of time.

If there is old insulation it may contain asbestos.

But I’m sure you are okay, because places have to get permits and inspections before they do construction.

    Hi There,
I just talked with my doctor about asbestoes exposure. He said that for years he and his dad were exposed to asbestoes daily without any protection and neither of them suffered any repercussions. I am not saying that that is always the case but if your work was knocking down a wall and they hired contractors the contractors would have been wearing masks and protective gear and would not have allowed you to be in the room if they suspected the presence of asbestoes.. Hope this eases your mind.

Asbestoes is not useually found in walls & such. It was most common in boiler rooms and and around plumbing. Contractors don’t always know, or want to know as long as it’s only their workers. I would not worry about asbestoes but plain old dust can make you sick with pneumonia. Be careful & ask questions on the job site.

    Good luck
