Asbestos

we work in a renovated building where asbestos insulation was sealed in by a tarpauline and then a hardiflex ceiling was installed. since then, i have the sniffles combined with itching nostrils all the time. is there a possibility that i am ingesting asbestos and am wondering if this is an allergic reaction to the asbestos? other workers dont seem to have any similar reactions.

These fibers or dust particles of asbestos are easily inhaled or swallowed and cause various diseases including asbestosis, a chronic lung disease; mesothelioma, cancer of the lining of lungs, chest and stomach and other deadly diseases.
