Asbestos

so i have a question about asbestos in school. so i went with my class to the computer lab to do research and there was this white stuff all over the computers and keyboard, i assumed it was dust because we just came back from summerbreak and the room wasn’t occupied during that time. but then i saw a small chunk of white stuff that look like plaster or something, i looked up and saw that the ceiling tiles above were loose and disintegrating and such. im not sure if the white residue on the computers and keyboard came from the ceiling but should i be worried that it might contain asbestos? i didn’t want to say anything to the teacher yet and make a big deal. if it does i think its totally unfair to the students that use the computer lab everyday and irresponsible of the school.

It’s left over cocaine from your teachers. bag it up and sell it.

You’re too smart for that school get out.

Yes, if they tolerate sh*$ conditions, the building is probably pretty old/cheap and you have the right to wonder if it is asbestos.

Make a big deal; if they try to bum you down, it just shows how retarded they are, if they take your notions in heart/fix, then they’re probably cool.

If your school has some anonymous suggestion or complaint facility (mine had) you could drop in a note detailing the problem objectively. Hopefully they’ll take note and fix it. The fact that there was asbestos / dust in the computer room itself sounds a little shoddy to me. What’s the janitor been doing is anybody’s guess.

I think you should just point it out to a teacher. Most schools have to check that sort of thing as part of safety regulations so they probably won’t just leave it(hopefully anyway). Alot of schools do have asbestos somewhere in their buildings because it was quite cheap to use and manufacture. If it is aspestos they’ll be thankful you did point it out. If it isn’t there’s no harm done. There was asbestos in a building they were renovating at my school and we had a day off while they knocked it down. Breathing in the dust particles can be pretty dangerous
