Asbestos carpet underlay?

Asbestos
With recent news in Australia that hessian bags used to carry asbestos were recycled as carpet underlay, does anyone know in what part of Aust that was? We pulled up our carpet in Brisbane QLD 6 mths ago and the underlay was hessian. A lot of dust went everywhere and we vacuumed with standard vac so now I am concerned that dust could be on our furniture, bed mattress and inside our vaccuum cleaner and spreading each time we use it?

Most of the recycled bags were distributed and used in Western Australia.
If your property was built after 1970 (banned after this date) then there is a possibility that the hessian underlay was not from recycled asbestos bags. Look up ‘James Hardie’ he is the culprit behind the scandal.
If you are still in doubt – ring an asbestos abatement company to professionally vacuum your home.
Thank you for highlighting this topic. I do research on asbestos.
Kind regards,
